11th Ranked Bull Rider Trevor Reiste Joins Pendleton Pre-Show After Great Weekend in Puyallup

Reiste explains where his confidence level is and why he is one of the few bull riders in the PRCA who ride overhand

Katy Lucas was joined by Trevor Reiste after he had a great weekend, winning more than $20,000 at the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup to move up in the World Standings.

Reiste is not much of a standings watcher, but he knows he’s ranked No. 11 in the World after spending much of the summer on the bubble.

“I try not to think about (the Standings), I know it’s still any man’s game,” he said. "(I have) quite a bit of confidence. It always feels good when you have good riding percentage going and you’re healthy and feeling good.”

After discussing his performance in Puyallup, Reiste also explains why he is one three bull riders in the PRCA to ride overhand instead of underhand.

“I like my hand to pull against the block,” he said. “Backwards takes all of the pressure off of my wrist, I had an injury years ago, that’s why I ride this way.”
