A Clean Sweep Was in Store For Barrel Racer Jordan Driver at the San Diego Rodeo

Barrel racer Jordan Driver claims the San Diego Rodeo win.

Jordan Driver made her first run at Petco Park on her great horse Cyrus to clock over one tenth of a second faster than the rest of the competition. During her second run at the San Diego Rodeo, Cyrus shined again with a 16.32 for the Round win. On Championship Sunday, Driver made a horse change that kept her at the top of the leaderboard the entire way through.

“Yeah, I planned on running [Judge] in the Eight-Round and actually switching out, Cyrus out there with my mom ready to go, but you know it was a gut feeling to go ahead and give him his chance so I let him have it. I thank God for that because I have two amazing horses that have gotten me here and this is such a fun event and I’ve been super blessed to get here and do this,” Driver said.

The one thing about a special team of horses that carrie you to this kind of success, Driver said her duo want to do it as bad, if not more, than her. They feed off the crowd and keep it fun for the Texas barrel racer.

Driver’s Round 3 time on Judge would be the fastest of the rodeo coming it at 16.12 seconds before a 16.31 would be the time to win it all.
