All the Pieces Fall Together for Gianna Cianfichi to Become the Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup Breakaway Champion

Gianna Cianfichi was first out in the Final Shootout Round of the Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup and she did not think that a 3.4 second run was going to make her the champion. When the three girls behind her either missed or were too slow, Cianfichi came out on top.

“Honestly, I was like awe man, there’s three girls going after me and I just kind of made an average run so I did not expect this to happen, super exciting,” she said.

After her brother hauled her horse to Fort Worth from California and Cianfichi flew in after working, it all came together when she was crowned the first ever Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup Breakaway Champion.

“It means everything… so there was a lot that went into it to get me here and it just means the world,” Cianfichi said.

Cianfichi now sits No. 2 in the Resistol Rookie race going in to the summer run.
