Austin Richardson Got On The Best Of The Best Bucking Bulls To Win The PBR In Oklahoma City

Austin Richardson rode two out of three bulls this past weekend at the PBR Unleash the Beast this past weekend in Oklahoma City. He won $43,000 and moved up 11 places in the PBR World Standings.

Richardson sprained his MCL and PCL in his knee a couple of weeks ago and his bounce back was a good one.

“It put me out for two weeks, but I did therapy everyday of the week to keep it moving and keep the muscle there, I iced it a bunch and just got me knee brace. So that worked out and man, I feel great right now, a little sore after this weekend but ready for the next event for sure,” Richardson said.

In Round 1 in Oklahoma City, Richardson finished third with 87.5 points on Mr. Personality before he scored his second ever 90-point ride in Round 2. Richardson went 91.25 on Detroit Lean to win Round 2.

“He’s a short rounder bull and I really did have to try my hardest on him. He was stepping forward and he’s a big bull, it’s not easy to get by on but I was able to grit one out and get to the eight,” Richardson said about Detroit Lean.

Richardson picked Whoopa for the Final Round because he wanted to win and to win you have to have the best bull. Woopa is just that and ultimately got the best of Richardson in Oklahoma City.

“He’s an outstanding bull, he bucks really hard. When it all comes together, I’d be a bunch of points and I hope for that for the next time and I learned a lot. I’m glad I got to get on a bull like that,” Richardson said.

Richardson’s plan going to forward is to make it count, one bull at a time.
