Kenny Rice joined WSR to give his thoughts on this year’s Kentucky Derby contenders.
The favorite is Essential Quality 2-1. According to Rice the talented three-year-old colt is the favorite rightfully so. The horse is versatile and has a top-notch trainer, Brad Cox, to help him get to the finish line first.
Other top trainers with horses enter include Bob Baffert, Todd Pleasure and John Sadler.
The Kentucky Derby takes place May 1 in Louisville, Kentucky.
