Bareback Rider Clint Laye Adds Another Canadian Title to His Name

Clint Laye cinched his second CPRA title and along with a CFR Average crown over the weekend with a dominant performance at Westerner Park in Red Deer, Alberta.

Laye won his first Canadian title in 2021 before injuries sidelined the Cadogan, Alberta cowboy.

In 2021, he won less than $300. This year, he had a lot more breathing room, finishing $16,000 clear of Orin Larsen with almost $91,000 earned in Canada for the year.

With two rides over 88 points, including 88.25 to take second in Round 6, Laye wrapped up the CFR with 516.5 points on six head. All six of his rides were marked 83.5 points or better and he finished Top 3 in every single round. Overall, he made more than $53,000 over six rounds.

“To come in here and back it up in front of Red Deer, I just want to say thank you to all you guys, you’re awesome,” Laye said. “It means everything.”
