Bareback Rider Cole Reiner Makes Highest Marked Ride Yet in San Antonio with 91.5 Points

A matchup with Frontier Rodeo’s Breaking News put Cole Reiner on Top of Bracket 4, Round 2

For Wyoming cowboy Cole Reiner, adding his name to a list of monster rides in San Antonio was the perfect way to round out his bracket. He put together the highest marked ride of the bareback riding in San Antonio with only one bracket to go when he covered Frontier Rodeo’s Breaking News for 91.5 points.

“I thought I might get bucked off for about a half a second. That horse left so hard and then after that it’s a dream, it’s exactly what you want, this is what everyone talks about. But the first second, maybe second a half, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be 90 or 0 and I’m just happy it worked out the way it did,” Reiner said.

It was a special moment for Reiner, one that he will never forget.

Reiner is the No. 2 cowboy moving on from Bracket 4. Rocker Steiner is joining him in the Semifinals along with Lane McGehee and Cooper Cooke.

After placing in Rounds 1 and 2, Steiner picked up the Round 3 win with an 88.5-point ride on Calgary Stampede’s Chokecherry while Cooke kicked off the bracket with his Round 1 win. That came after 84 points on Vegas Confused of Championship Rodeo’s.

McGehee was consistent enough, placing in Round 1 and 3 to earn $2,750 and cinch his place in the Semifinals as well.

The Semifinals will take place on Feb. 22-23 and you can catch it all on The Cowboy Channel.
