Barrel Racer Shelley Morgan Picks Up Bracket 6 Go-Round Win in Denver

2022 NFR Average Champion Shelley Morgan Raced to a Semifinal Berth and Round 1 lead in Bracket 6

Shelley Morgan has found herself moving on to the Semifinals of the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo after making two solid runs in Bracket 6. One of those runs clocked in at 14.70 seconds to win Round 1 of her bracket.

It’s also leading Round 1 overall at the National Western and although we are used to Morgan and her great horse Kiss, this win came on the back of a new super star equine partner.

“She was upset a little bit before the rodeo here, I guess this is just a lot for her so I really didn’t know how it was going to go. When she was making her run, I knew it was good and when I saw her time, I mean I just want to let tears start streaming down my face. This is so much fun, she’s doing awesome,” Morgan said about Bee.

The mare belongs to John and Sarah Jacobi and was seasoned by Jessie Wade. Morgan does not call Bee a backup, instead she is a part of her team. We can look forward to big things from Morgan, Kiss and Bee in 2024 starting with a run in the Semifinals at the National Western.
