Barrel Racer Sissy Winn Talks RodeoHouston, Success on Scoop and Her Current Game Plan

Sissy Winn looks forward to Super Series 2 in Houston.

Sissy Winn is a two-time National Finals Rodeo barrel racer and a rodeo that she seems to always find success at is RodeoHouston. With her big sorrel, Scoop, hustling through it all, Winn knows just what to do at NRG Stadium.

"[Scoop] did so good last year and I’m just excited to run him again,” Winn said.

While the pattern in Houston is in the middle of what is normally a football field, Scoop being in tune with Winn and lilstening to her every move gives them an advantage.

“It’s so hard to prepare for RodeoHouston. You really just can’t prepare for it so you have to make sure your horse is so in tune, you’re so in tune with them in order to nail all three barrels. That’s the most important part for RodeoHouston is getting your barrels and making sure your horse is feeling confident in the pen,” she said.

Winn’s game plan is taking it day by day and run by run as she goes into Super Series 2. The fastest time we have seen in Houston so far is a 14.35 from Round 3 of Super Series 1 where the ground got faster each night.

Joining Winn in Super Series 2 you will see the likes of Jordan Driver, Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi, Shelley Morgan and more.
