The Calgary Stampede has been been on its current plot of land since 1961 and has raised countless bucking horses. The ranch has over 500 horses on 23,000 acres of open grassland. Of the 500 horses on the ranch, around 200 are competing at any given time throughout the year. The horses who are on the road will compete just 10 to 15 times per season.
