Best of First 50 Days: World Champion Shad Mayfield Cannot Be Stopped This Season

Shad Mayfield furthered his lead in the World Standings with two major wins in the first 50 days.

Shad Mayfield has racked up over $200,000 this season. Smooth is fast and injuries are not slowing him down in the slightest.

After a solid Winter Run, Mayfield kicked off the Summer Run leaving no doubt that he was hungry for gold. Success at Reno Rodeo was worth $18,000 after he laid down two runs in the mid-sevens and one in the ten-second range to top the Average.

In Cheyenne, Mayfield did it again. The Average game is one he knows how to play and the setup in Cheyenne is one that they veteran calf roper excelled at. The Daddy of ‘Em All added $16,400 to his earnings after a 9.8 was the fastest run of the Finals.

Mayfield not only leads the Tie-Down Roping World Standings, he is No. 1 in the All-Around race as well.
