BFI Champions Kal Fuller and Reagan Ward

This past Sunday, team ropers Kal Fuller and Reagan Ward became the 2020 BFI Champions, beating out a mere 139 other teams. They won the aggregate on six steers to earn the title and a check for $150,000.

On winning such a prestigious roping so close to home, Ward, who’s from Purcell, Oklahoma, says, “Oh man, really words don’t describe it, I mean, other than it feels awesome. A lot of my family and friends got to watch, so it was pretty special.”

The BFI earnings now allows the duo to hit on the road and keep their summer schedules packed with rodeos.

“Before it was questionable, now it’s no problem,” says Fuller with a laugh.

Following their win, the duo is headed to Prescott, Oakley City, and Cody — where you will be able to watch them compete, if not in person, on The Cowboy Channel or the PRCA on The Cowboy Channel Plus app! (Click here for more on our upcoming Cowboy Christmas rodeo coverage.)
