Big Will Lummus Strikes Big with Win at American Rodeo

Steer wrestling veteran Will Lummus cashed in at Globe Life Field.

Will Lummus is no stranger to success and he has done it again. A win at the American Rodeo came his way Saturday at Globe Life Field when Lummus swept the day’s competition.

A 3.5 second run is what got the day started. Lummus carried that momentum into the Final Four Round where he capitlized with a second straight winning run.

“Yeah, you know in a situation like this I like going either very first or very last. You either let your hair down, which I don’t have anymore of, if you go first and then if you’re last, you know what you’ve got to do. I knew I had a good steer. I trust Clayton [Hass] with my life on the haze side so it all worked out,” Lummus said.

Lummus’ horsepower has had to shift this season from Benz to Swamper, of Winsten McGraw’s and the duo is throwing down every where they go.

Lummus has added this $100,000 win to his long list of accolades and he has yet to let off the gas.
