Bradlee Miller and Ryder Wright Conquer Petco Park In 90-Point Fashion

The roughstock side of the arena in San Diego belonged to Bradlee Miller and Ryder Wright.

While Bradlee Miller is fresh off an impressive National Finals Rodeo debut, the veteran Ryder Wright stays cool with ice in his veins. For Miller, he drew the horse cowboys dreams of, C5 Rodeo’s Virgil, while Wright had a rematch with Four Star Rodeo’s Wall Street.

“You know, I’ve dreamed of drawing that horse my whole life, you know, it’s a bareback rider’s dream to be here in San Diego,” Miller said.

The young gun climbed on Virgil for the first time and leaned on Tyson Cardinal, the man who comes as a package deal with the big gray. The 91-point ride makes Virgil the two-time champion at San Diego rodeo and Miller and Cardinal put a bow on it with a hug when it was all over.

Wright is your reigning World Champion, landing his third Gold Buckle back in December but he picked up in California where he left off in Nevada. His rematch with Wall Street went exactly as one could have hoped.

“I matched up with that horse one time at the NFR, I knew she was going to go out and give me a shot to win this thing if I just kept my chin down and kept throwing my feet,” Wright said.

A good markout set up Wright’s whole ride and his 90.25-point ride made the Iceman your champion.
