Brady Davis & Thatz The Rumor Crowned 5/6 Intermediate Open Champions at Will Rogers

Brady Davis won the Intermediate Open Classis Finals at the NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes. He was riding a Dual Rey son, Thatz The Rumor. The pair has worked hard to get where they are.

“He wasn’t very seasoned and the talent was there, by all means, it just took a few months just showing continuously and working a bunch at the house, just showing him what we want. It finally clicked and he’s one of my most constant show horses now,” Davis said.

Davis and his team work hard to win shows like the Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes that is held inside the walls of the famous Will Rogers Coliseum.

“Any time you can come and get a win in that pen it’s pretty special, There’s a lot of guys that come here for a lifetime and never win in there, so it’s not easy. You’ve got to have a little luck on your side but it was a pretty cool experience,” said Davis.

The Open has three divisions, Open, Intermediate and Limited. Which one you are entered in depends on your earnings within the NCHA. Davis ended up winning the 5/6 Intermediate Open with a score of 222 in the Final Round.
