Brady Portenier had to sweat it out, watching Trey Kimzey get on three bulls, but his 92.5-point ride would hold and win him a title at the Cheyenne Frontier Days.
BRADY PORTENIER, CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS FINAL, 92.5 POINTS
It was going to take a near-record ride to beat Portenier, who says he was just having a good time after his ride.
“I was just back there, I guess I was sweating a little bit, but I was just visiting with some friends and enjoying the moment.”
Portenier walked away with over $10,000 on the weekend which improved his world ranking from No. 22 at the beginning of the weekend to No. 15.
Portenier kept it short after his win, thanking the rodeo for all that they do for the athletes.
“It is an honor and a privilege. It’s an amazing rodeo, committee does great, all the sponsors, we are just lucky to come here and play.”
