Breakaway Roper Josie Conner is Unbeatable on Championship Saturday at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

Josie Conner smoked a run to be your 2025 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Champion.

Josie Conner’s start to 2025 is one she has never had before as the Louisiana cowgirl picked up her first-ever Texas Swing win by way of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. She was the first lady to back in the box and she set a pace that nobody would catch with a 1.8-second run.

“I try to just do my job every time. That horse makes it pretty easy and I hit the barrier, the throw was there and it worked,” Conner said.

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo has equal pay for the breakaway ropers meaning that Conner walked away with the $20,000 to add to her season earnings. That will jump her well into the Top 15 in the World as she prepares for the second leg of the Texas Swing.
