Breakaway Roper Tacy Webb Wins Rodeo Austin by Three Tenths of a Second

Tacy Webb got faster with every run in Austin to be the champion.

Tacy Webb started her trip to Austin with a 3.1-second run in Round 1 before locking in her shot in the Finals with a 2.3 in Round 2. She bestest that by one tenth in the Finals to get the win.

“It’s so cool, I’ve never won this rodeo. I’ve actually never done good at this rodeo so it was a really cool deal to get it done today,” Webb said.

Rodeo Austin has joined the list of rodeos that have equal payout in the breakaway roping meaning that Webb cashed in on an amount of money that will move her up in the World Standings.

Taylor Munsell and Shelby Boisjoli-Meged were hot on Webb’s heels in the Final Round and the Average but the custom Rodeo Austin Branding Iron goes home to Midway, Texas.
