Breakaway Roper Taylor Munsell’s Reach Pays off with RodeoHouston Win

Taylor Munsell soars to WPRA World Standings lead after Houston.

A long wait was in store for Taylor Munsell after RodeoHouston Super Series I when she cinched her place in the Semifinals. A 3.3 sent her on to Championship Sunday where the title was hers after a 2.7-second run.

“Bradi [Good] put the pressure on me and I knew that’s where I needed to throw to make it work and I’m so thankful that it did work and that my horse, he did his part to make sure it got there,” Munsell said.

A high caliber horse that did his job was an integral part of Munsell’s win and she now has a commanding lead in the WPRA Breakaway World Standings.

“I love rodeoing so I’m still going to go to all the rodeos I enjoy going to but it’s going to be nice doing it with a little bit of cushion,” she said.
