Breakaway Ropers Devan McAdow and Jenna Dallyn Capitalize in Round 2 of NFR Open

A tough breakaway roping in Colorado Springs has Devan McAdow and Jenna Dallyn on top of the leaderboard.

Devan McAdow and Jenna Dallyn’s pair of 3.1’s in Colorado Springs on Wednesday Night put them in the lead of Round 2 by two tenths of a second.

For McAdow, she was roping for the Go-Round and is sitting just right to be in the money.

“I just knew I had a good calf and I wanted to make the best run I could so I thought I did pretty good and my horse worked great, so. He actually was my hudband’s and I ended up taking him. His name is Louie, he’s got a lot of run and he likes to stop so us girls kind of like that a lot,” McAdow said.

Dallyn is not only on top of the leaderboard for Round 2, she is on top of the Average alongside Jackie Crawford and will be coming back to Championship Saturday.

“It was a huge advantage. I knew exactly what I needed to do. Yesterday I was first out and I was a little nervous about that, I didn’t know how it was supposed to go but today it was definitely and advantage and I’m glad I took care of it,” Dallyn said.

Alongside Dallyn and Crawford, Christi Braudrick is the final breakaway roper from the first set that will advance.
