The top five ladies in the WPRA World Standings for barrel racing have all had exceptional winter runs. Reigning World Champion Jordon Briggs and Rollo have kept up the momentum while three-time World Champion Hailey Kinsel has brought Sister to the big shows while bringing up younger horses to the professional rodeos as well.
Briggs has been on fire. She capitalized on her opportunities winning Rodeo Houston and finishing in the top three of Rodeo Austin.
Kinsel’s plan going into the year was to see how Sister felt and the fan favorite palomino mare is as unstoppable as ever. Kinsel has ridden three other horses but the one we have seen the most other than Sister, is another palomino mare called Jules.
Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi and Birdie have been running at the top of their game. They started the season with a big win at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo and they have been consistent in bringing checks ever since.
Sissy Winn is having one of the best years of her career. She has been qualifying for final rounds at all the major indoor rodeos including Denver and Fort Worth. Her horse, Chewy, is thriving this year.
Rounding out the top five is Wenda Johnson. Johnson and Mac have set and broken their own arena records within days of each other. She has only gone to five total rodeos this winter and she made every single one count.
