Brody Cress Kicks Off August With Big Wins and Big Bucks

Cress won two PRCA Rodeos this past weekend, which brings the cowboy’s August earnings to a little over $40,000.

Seven-time NFR saddle bronc riding qualifier Brody Cress is having a very hot August.

Cress kicked off this month at the Dodge City Roundup in Dodge City, Kansas. There, he made a pair of rides that were marked 86.5 and 87 points to win the Average, which paid him a little over $7,000.

At the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo in Castle Rock, Colorado, his 88-point ride on Summit Pro Rodeo’s Black Mesa earned him $2,424.

In North Dakota, he racked up over $13,000 throughout the Home On The Range Champions Ride. He rode for 90 points on J Bar J’s Straight Moonshine in the final round, earning him $3,595.

This past weekend, Cress made three rides between 85 and 90 points to earn himself over $18,000 in the span of a few days.

Cress made an impressive 90-point ride on Flying Carma of Calgary Stampede to win the the Farm-City Pro Rodeo in Hermiston, Oregon.

He got another win under his belt at another Playoff Rodeo in Lovington, New Mexico at the Lea County PRCA Rodeo atop Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Dirty Jacket. Cress scored 89 points and won over $8,000.

Riding Andrews Rodeo’s Gypsy Rose for 85 points at the Summit County Fair and Rodeo (Utah), added a little more money to Cress’ wallet. That ride put him in third place and added $1,950 to his earnings.

Cress is currently sitting No. 7 in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World standings with a total of $146,061 in season earnings thus far.
