Half the bull riders made the whistle Thursday night in Fort Worth, but none were better than Brody Yeary.
The former Tarleton State standout rode Yellowstone of () for 86.5 points to bank $2,000. It matched his highest marked ride of the year, which came at Bulls Night Out in Fort Worth on Jan. 17.
“I just had to keep moving my outside foot, I’m kind of conservative and don’t kick loose a whole lot, it was a little more uncomfortable than I’m used to, but it got the job done,” he said Thursday. “I feel outstanding, I’ve put in some time this Fall, been on a lot of bulls.”
Yeary has not officially advanced from Bracket 4 yet, but so far every round winner in the bull riding in Fort Worth has made it through it to at least the Wild Card with 5-of-6 making it straight to the Semifinals.
