Brothers Dawson and Dillon Graham Prepare to Defend Canadian Finals Rodeo Team Roping Title

There is a total of eight sibling rivalries taking place in Red Deer at the upcoming Canadian Finals Rodeo.

Team roping brothers Dawson and Dillion Graham make up just one of the families represented on top of being the defending champions.

“Yeah, of course. It’s kind of always the plan, have a good year, have a good chance to start off at the Canadian Finals at the top and hopefully we can keep it there,’ Dillon said.

Big wins coming from Ponoka, Sundre and more on the tour side of rodeo were crucial to helping the Graham brothers stay at the top of the standings.

Dawson’s year got even better when his horse, Outlaw, was named CPRA Team Roping Head Horse of the Year.

“He’s been a pretty good horse for the whole time I’ve had him. I probably rode him at 70 or 75 rodeos this year or more. He’s a trooper, he can go everywhere and you just know what he’s going to do every single time,” Dawson said.

The duo looks forward to possibly claiming their second ever Canadian Finals title.
