Brye Crites and Tyler Worley Join WSR From Pendleton Slack

Crites is No. 26 while Worley is No. 21, but they are moving up after banking $6,500 in Pendleton

Brye Crites/Tyler Worley have already won $6,500 in Pendleton by winning Round 1 in Slack with a 5.0-second run.

“Honestly, we drew an amazing steer, I was just trying to not break the barrier. I broke the barrier in the Short Round on one like that last year,” Crites said. “I knew Tyler was going to heel him fast.”

Crites added that of the benefits of winning Round 1 is they don’t have to do anything crazy to advance if they draw a bad steer in Round 2.

This is the first year this pair has roped together in Pendleton, but Worley is used to finding success there. He won the rodeo in 2018 and won the Finals in 2023.

“I’ve rode quite a few horses here and it seems like they’ve all took pretty good care of me,” Worley said. “If you can get a pretty good start and get ahead of them, it seems to work out a lot better.”
