Bull Rider Jeff Askey Splits Calgary Stampede Win After Tough Final Four

Jeff Askey and Chase Dougherty claim the 2024 Calgary Stampede title.

Jeff Askey and Chase Dougherty went from the Semifinals to a ride off at the Calgary Stamepde. When that ride off ended with no scores and a potential second ride off, the officials went to a tie breaker to save both bull riders bodies.

“I don’t know, just blessed by God I guess. I just try hard, I’m determined, not the prettiest riding style or anything like that, just try to stay on and make it count,” Askey said when asked what makes him one of the best.

While both cowboys took shots in the Ride Off, Dougherty’s hip have been bothering him all season long. Although he landed hard in the Ride Off, the sportsmedicine team is focused on getting him fixed up.

Both Askey and Dougherty left Calgary with $43,750 in their pockets after a phenomenal bull riding that ended with stellar bull power that came out on top.
