Jordan Spears is one of a few bull riders making a return to Las Vegas after a gap in between. Spears’ last trip under the lights of the Thomas and Mack came in 2019 when the California bull rider finished No. 6 in the World.

In 2024, Spears is the No. 12 ranked cowboy in the World after a series of wins came his way during the regular season. With $129,997 to his name, Spears doubled his 2023 earnings and his back at the top.

Redding Extreme Bulls, $5,414

Spears second win of the season came with his second highest marked ride of the season. An 89-point ride aboard Silver Tongued D of Brookman Rodeo was just one point better than the rest and it was all he needed to cash in.

Earlier in the week at the Woodlake Lions Rodeo down the road in California, Spears racked up his first win of the season aboard Javelina of Rosser Rodeo.

Livermore Rodeo, $3,791

The second highest marked ride of his season would come yet again in California. Sticking with 89’s in his home state, Spears matched up with Dirty Dave of Big Stone Rodeo to get another win, this one by three points over Mason Moody.

Last Chance Stampede, $3,791

Montana would bring Spears his second highest score at 88 points. By a whopping nine whole points, Spears eight seconds on C5 Rodeo’s Yahoo Buckaroo was unbeatable by the likes of Parker Breding or rookie Bo Vocu.

Strathmore Stampede, $8,445

Across the northern border, Spears put together an 87-point ride in Canada. His efforts would result in splitting the win with Grady Young but the matchup with Macza Pro Rodeo’s Church Bells would be his highest pay day in 2024.

Bozeman Stampede, $4,018

Back in Montana, Spears would leave another gap between him and No. 2 on the leaderboard when he put an 85.5-point ride together on Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics’ Ace. It would be Shane Proctor and Bo Vocu who closed out the Top 3 with a pair of 81’s.

A trip to Idaho in the same week added another win to Spears’ year when he went 86 points at the Payette County PRCA Rodeo.

Moses Lake Round-Up Rodeo, $6,150

Spears’ third 89-point ride of the season came in Washington. Aboard Corey and Lange Rodeo’s Hell Yea Roscoe, Spears win this time would come by five points and be the only qualified ride put on the bull this season.

New Mexico State Fair and Xtreme Bulls, $7,290

Fettig Pro Rodeo’s Half Cocked would be the draw for Spears in New Mexico. Spears put the second qualified ride on the bull and he did so to the tune of 90.5 points to make his highest marked ride of the season.
