Trey Benton III was having a great start to his season in what was supposed to be a comeback year for the seven-time NFR qualifier.

That comeback will have to wait a bit longer as Benton announced that he is out with a broken right tibia that he suffered at Rodeo Austin on March 21.

Benton told ProRodeo.com that he hopes to be back before the Summer Run heats up in June.

He has earned nearly $50,000 this season, and at the time of his injury, he is No. 8 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings.
