Bull Rider Tristen Hutchings Dedicates His Win at Reno Rodeo to His Late Mother

Hutchings had an extra set of angel wings strapped to his back during the Reno Rodeo.

Tristen Hutchings earned a clean sweep during the Reno Rodeo in Nevada. The cowboy won Round 1 with a 90.5-point score on Flying U Rodeo’s Bad Habits. He continued the momentum and clenched the Short Go with another 90.5 score aboard Rosser Rodeo’s Logun’s Legacy.

Hutchings’ outstanding performances added $23,342 dollars to his season earnings. Although money is a critical factor to the cowboy’s rankings, this win goes beyond monetary value and will forever be a special memory in his career.

“Last October, before the NFR, I lost my mom in a car accident. I haven’t really won anything big since then, so I want to dedicate this win in Reno to my mom,” Hutchings said.

With an extra pair of golden wings, the No. 6 ranked bull rider in the World picked up some much needed momentum and is well on his way to earning his third consecutive NFR qualification.
