For the first time, the Calgary Stampede will have a Barrel Racing Qualifier for the rodeo. The producer of the event, Toni Dixon joined Western Sports Round-Up to talk about the qualifier.
The qualifier gives Canadian barrel racers a chance to compete on their home dirt and qualify for the Calgary Stampede. More than 130 barrel racers have entered the qualifier and of those, five will compete at the Calgary Stampede.
