California Bronc Rider Lefty Holman Tops San Angelo Leaderboards on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s California Kiss

Lefty Holman matched up with a Pete Carr Pro Rodeo bronc to take the lead in San Angelo.

Lefty Holman has been on a heater through out the Texas Swing and to make his chart-topping ride in San Angelo even better, it came on his wife’s birthday. He matched up with California Kiss of Pete Carr Pro Rodeo to be 87 points and take the lead by just half a point.

“I visualize everyday. I dream of bronc riding all the time, I love it, I’m obsessed with it. Anytime you’ve got a Pete Carr bucking horse in Texas, just don’t stub your toe and you’ll be alright,” Holman said.

Jake Watson set the bar in San Angelo with an 82.5-point ride on Macza Pro Rodeo’s Yellow Jacket in the first performance and that held onto the top spot until Performance 3.

The saddle bronc riders in the Third Performance changed the leaderboard in a big way. Three of the top four rides came from that performance and Tyrel Roberts added his name to the No. 2 spot on Sunday to tie with Cort Scheer’s 86.5-point ride. Brody Cress rounds out the Top 4 with an 86 aboard Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s River Ghost.

It takes 77.5-points to get into the Top 12 and qualify to come back to the San Angelo Finals leaving Jake Finlay and Dylan Young on the bubble with six performances to go. It is the final leg of the Texas Swing and Holman holds the lead.
