Canada’s Own Kolby Wanchuk Doubles Down on Double D Dolly to Win Pool B Round 2 in Calgary

Alberta saddle bronc rider Kolby Wanchuk is locked in at the Calgary Stampede

Kolby Wanchuck is setting himself up to sweep Pool B at the Calgary Stampede. After splitting the Round 1 win he came back in Round 2 to claim it all. An 88-point ride on Duane Kesler’s Double D Dolly has Wanchuk right where he needs to be on the leaderboard.

“That’s a great young horse from Duane Kesler, just kind of coming to the pros this year. I got on her this spring at Medicine Hat, we didn’t get along quite as good but that horse has just been getting better every trip and felt really good today,” Wanchuck said.

Wanchuk has unofficially earned his spot on Championship Sunday with $13,250 already earned at The Stampede. He is also sitting just outside the Top 15 in the PRCA World Standings by just about $1,000, but his success so far in Calgary will likely change that.
