Canadian Finals Rodeo: Wednesday Night Daysheet, Performance 1

The first of five performances to take place in Canada has some top tier match ups to kick it all off along with some household names.

BAREBACK RIDING

Rookie bareback rider Ethan Mazurenko will nod on one Canada’s greatest bucking horses, Virgil of C5 Rodeo. This horses credentials include arena records and many rodeo wins including a 92.5 at the Red Bluff Roundup courtesy of RC LAndingham.

STEER WRESTLING

The Cassidy brothers are known for steady horsepower and quick times in Canada but No. 1 in the PRCA standings, Dalton Massey, has had a lead foot down no matter where he goes.

TEAM ROPING

Tee McLeod and Sid Sporer have been heating up towards the end of the season. The recently finished second at the North Dakota Roughrider Cup and they picked up a win in Washington along the way. They are carrying that momentum into the CFR.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Reigning World Champion Zeke Thurston’s match up in Performance 1 is the Calgary Stampede’s Freedom Express. Earlier this season, Brody Cress was 89 points on the bronc in Kennewick.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Shane Hanchey has his equine partner, Bugsy, back in the game. The duo cracked out in Sioux Falls and after a hickup in Round 1, they dominate Round 2. You can expect big things from Hanchey.

BREAKAWAY ROPING

The Whiteside sister’s are All-Around cowgirls that regularly have success and the CFR could be no different.

BARREL RACING

Jackie Ganter has a lineup of horsepower in her trailer but defedning Champion Lynette Brodoway is right there with her. Ganter’s Sailor is back and healthy but Brodoway’s Cowboy has proven he loves the CFR.

BULL RIDING

Outlawbuckers’ Blue Magic’s last two rides were both with Trevor Reiste and results in 90 plus point scores. Williams Barrows will try his luck on Blue Magic hopefully getting things rolling his way in Edmonton.
