The PBR’s Team Series is country wide and the general manager of the Arizona Ridge Riders is Casey Lane, a veteran PBR cowboy.
He is currently working on getting all of the pieces together, including a draft board and a plan for what it will look like a training camp to set the Arizona Ridge Riders up for success. The draft will take place right after the PBR World Finals in May.
Colby Yates is the team manager while Paulo Crimber will be the technical coach. Lane says that they took a different approach when they chose to have two coaches from different backgrounds with different skill sets.
“We believe that through the collaboration between those coaches, myself and our other team members from Teton Ridge and some of the other outside expertise that we can bring in, that we can be more successful,” Lane said.
Yates has the skills that focus on the mental side of the game while Crimber’s grit and toughness when it comes purely to riding bulls is expected to give the Arizona Ridge Riders an advantage.
As far as building out their team, Lane is putting together information on all bull riders including top cowboys in PBR’s Unleash the Beast and PRCA’s World Standings to the young talent that was seen at the combine just last week. They have also put feelers out and are open to bringing in talent from other countries.
“We’re putting together, for lack of a better word, a file on every guy that we can figure out and try to put some video together and really start to get some deep analysis into what talent is available out there,” Lane said.
The Arizona Ridge Riders will be hosting their home event October 14-16 in Glendale, Arizona and this will be the finals event of the PBR Team Series before the finals take place in Las Vegas.
