Las Vegas Events put together quite a show in Las Vegas and LVE President Pat Christenson joined Western Sports Round-Up to discuss all things NFR.
“Whether it was the hotels experience, the NFR production, the fans, Cowboy Channel’s coverage......I just thought all of the pieces of the NFR came together,” Christenson said.
Las Vegas Events said more than 169,000 fans attended an NFR performance and more than 241,000 people attended Cowboy Christmas. There were a total of 350 exhibitors and this year, Cowboy Christmas opened up a day early with the lighting of a Christmas tree.
Christeson said the events around Las Vegas in December have continued to grow over 35 years, making the NFR more and more of a festival experience in addition to the 10 days of rodeo competition.
