Circle Y WPRA Athletes of the Week: Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi Pulls Winning Check at Puyallup Cinch Playoffs

Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi locked in an aggregate time of 28.31 seconds in Puyallup to advance into the Semifinals before ultimately taking home the Cinch Playoffs Championship to claim Circle Y WPRA Athlete of the Week.

Tonozzi secured second place in the First Round, trailing behind Taycie Matthews, who currently holds the fifth position in the World Standings. Tonozzi clocked in at 14.18 seconds in the initial round, but in Round 2, she took the lead with a winning run of 14.13 seconds.

The Semifinal Round was a success for the Texas cowgirl as she claimed the No. 1 spot with a 14.07-second run, securing her spot in the Final Round where she turned in the fastest run of the week with a 13.99 to take home the win at the Cinch Playoffs and a check for a total of $18,863.

It was her 14th win since 100 Rodeos in 100 Days began on June 15.

Tonozzi continues to lead the WPRA Barrel Racing World Standings with $246,882 as she will head to her seventeenth National Finals Rodeo. She is now within $4,000 of the WPRA barrel racing regular season earnings record.
