Clay Smith and Coleby Payne Place in Every Bracket 3 Go-Round in San Antonio to Advance

Team Ropers Clay Smith and Coleby Payne cash in on all three go-rounds.

Clay Smith and Coleby Payne are riding a wave of Texas Swing luck as they place in every Go-Round of their bracket in San Antonio. They have gotten faster with each round and the Round 3 win came to them with a 3.6-second run.

“Well, it’s hard for me to be three anymore it seems like but, Colby healed him really good and my horse is feeling pretty good down here so I’m pretty excited,” Smith said.

While the competition gets younger and faster, Smith proves he can still hang in there, especially with Payne on the back side and an arsenal of good horses.

The duo’s 3.6 is the fastest run of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo so far. They will kill the time between now and Semi-Finals where we will see them again along with Kreece Thompson and Denim Ross, Nelson Wyatt and Jonathan Torres and Pedro Egurrola and Justin Davis.
