Clint Laye Jumps to No. 1 in Canadian Bareback Riding Standings after Round 2 Win

Clint Laye entered the Canadian Finals Rodeo third in the standings, but after a third-place finish in Round 1 and a win in Round 2, he now sits at the top.

Laye was marked 85.25 to get the win, which bested Dantan Bertsch who went 84.25.

Laye knew he had a good draw in Vold Rodeo’s True Grit and took full advantage.

“It was everything I had in the gas tank. That horse is old, he’s smart and was throwing everything he had at me tonight.”

Laye’s earnings are now up to over $51,500 on the season, giving him a lead of $3,500 over Orin Larsen, who won Round 1.
