Cody Stampede: Thursday Night Daysheet, Performance 4

The Cody Stampede is one performance away from wrapping up and in this final performance, the leaderboard can be expected to change.

BAREBACK RIDING

Waylon Bourgeois has the horse that some cowboys dream of, Frontier Rodeo’s Gun Fire. The buckskin mare gives cowboys a shot at 90 if they can keep up. Young gun Dean Thompson has done it twice in Guymon.

STEER WRESTLING

Will Lummus was the fastest time of the performance in St. Paul on Wednesday night, can he keep it going? Cash Robb’s 3.7 is the time to beat but the second fastest time if a 4.5 leaving it wide open to get a paycheck.

TEAM ROPING

Clint Summers and Jake Long are fresh off taking the lead in St. Paul and they look to keep it going. The competition in Cody is tough as a 4.2 leads in and there is still only half a second between the eight teams that sit inside the Top 5.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Statler Wright has a matchup with C5 Rodeo’s Trump Card. His brother, Ryder, covered the bronc for 86 points in Las Vegas and Stu has also been on the horse for 82.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

A 7.9 is the time to beat and the Harris brothers could do just that. Ty currently leads the Average in St. Paul and momentum is swinging his way.

BREAKAWAY ROPING

Shai Schaefer’s 1.8 still holds the lead by eight tenths of second meaning it is wide open in the breakway roping. But Sarah Angelone and Danielle Lowman are both known to rope in the high 1’s regularly.

BARREL RACING

Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi’s 16.95 leads by almost two tenths of a second but Halyn Lide flew in Reno to set a bar that was not reached until the Short Go and one of the two cowgirls that did it was Hailey Kinsel. The four-time World Champion is also out and Sister loves a big pen.

BULL RIDING

Clayton Sellars has drawn Frontier Rodeo’s County Jail, a bull that World No. 1 bull rider Creek Young is very familiar with. The bull has two outs this season and has two scores on the board, Sellars looks to make it three.
