Coleman Proctor and Logan Medlin locked in a second National Finals Rodeo Go-Round win by just one tenth of a second when they stopped the clock at 3.8 seconds in Round 9.
“I was just reiterating my swing thoughts, telling myself to charge the front, to find the target and then when I turned and looked at that steer I just told him he wasn’t as bad as he thought he was,” Proctor said.
In the other box, Medlin made a horse change a couple rounds ago but other than that, the duo has no plans to change their game plans.
“Coleman’s doing a good job, I mean drilling the barrier and he’s turning them for first and my horse, I made a horse change, got on my old horse Drago and God is good,” Medlin said.
The win had massive World Standings implications as we are now projected to have split World Champions with Proctor winning on the head side and Wesley Thorp winning on the heel side. Proctor also is still very much alive in the All-Around World Title race.
