Cory Solomon’s No Quit Attitude Helps Get Him to Top of Clark Co. Fair & Rodeo’s Leaderboard

Cory Solomon took the lead in the average at the Clark County Fair and Rodeo in Logandale, Nevada after last night’s performance. After tying his first calf in a 9.1 in slack on Wednesday morning, he came back and stopped the clock at 11.2 seconds.

After having a trying time getting horses to Nevada, Solomon left it all in the arena.

“It’s one of those things, you don’t know if God’s telling you don’t go or testing your faith,” Solomon said.

He did not draw the best calf in the pen during the performance but he got the job done fast enough to be at the top of the leaderboard. He gave himself a good start at the barrier and had to be strong during the tie to make it count.

Dakota Felton sits second behind Solomon in the average while Taylor Santos and Reese Riemer are on the board as well.
