Cowboy Christmas Standings Shuffle: Steer Wrestling

There were some big movers in the Steer Wrestling World Standings during Cowboy Christmas, including one of the best to ever do it, Luke Branquinho, moving up eight spots in the standings.

Branquinho jumped up to the number eight spot in the standings and has now earned $33,752 on the season. He is looking to make his first NFR since 2015 and has put himself in a great position to do so.

One of the biggest movers regardless of event was Dirk Tavenner who jumped 17 spots to number nine in the world. Tavenner went 3.3 seconds and won $4,175 at the Oakley Independence Day Rodeo. In total, Tavenner made $12,785 over the last couple of weeks, bringing his season total to $28,574.

The man at the top, Jacob Talley, was able to extend his lead over Tyler Pearson after a big showing. Talley has earned $96,240 on the year compared to Pearson’s $65,795.
