Creek Young Kept it Simple in Round 3 to Cinch a Shot at the Calgary Stampede Title

No. 1 bull rider in the World is the No. 3 bull rider to come back at the Calgary Stampede.

Creek Young and his traveling partner, Trey Kimzey, focused on keeping things fun and light in Canada as the National Finals bull riders each went two for three to make it back to Championship Sunday.

Young’s 88-point ride on Muley Madness in Round 3 was good enough to be second and add $5,700 to his name bringing his total to $12,200 to advance.

“I think it played into my advantage not to do too much. I knew if I got ahead or behind of that bull, he’s so small he’s going to be hard to catch up to so just sit there and let him buck under me and try to do all the things I know to do right and keep it pretty simple,” Young said.

Kimzey is the No. 1 bull rider advancing with Jace Trosclair and Jared Parsonage rounding out the Top 4 in Pool B.
