Creek Young Wins Xtreme Bulls Title in Fort Worth

Young was one of two cowboys to go 2-for-2 and did so in style at his first event since the 2023 NFR

Creek Young had the highest marked ride over two nights at Bulls Night Out in Fort Worth on his way to winning the title with 179.5 points on two head.

After Fulton Rutland set a tough mark to beat at 176.5 on two Tuesday night, Young responded right away with 92 points on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Pegusus in Round 1, which won him $5,600.

In the Finals, he was 87.5 points on Stockyards ProRodeo’s Train Station, which was also the top ride of the round.

Couple those two wins with his Average check, and Young 40 percented the rodeo and won $21,835 to shoot to No. 1 in the World.

“This just kick starts (my 2024 season)...You have the ability to win a bunch of money (in Fort Worth) as long as you show up and do your job, they’ll pay you,” Young said.

Rutland, who finished second in both rounds and the Average, won $17,318 and is now No. 4. Caden Bunch and Laramie Mosley also won more than $10,000 apiece.
