The cutting horse industry lost one of the greats this past weekend.
Buster Welch has a long list of accolades including being a part of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame, working for the 6666’s, the Long X and the Pitchfork Ranches along with being a part of the National Cutting Horse Association since it began it’s futurity.
His NCHA World Championship came in 1954 aboard a horse called Marions Girl before his AQHA World Championship that came in 1976 in Senior cutting.
Welch left a big hole in the cutting world and he will be missed.
