Dakota Eldridge Looking For World Championship in Vegas

Dakota Eldridge will head into his eighth Wrangler National Finals Rodeo this December ranked No. 3 in the PRCA World Standings. Eldridge has two NFR Average titles to his name, one from 2015 and one from 2017, but he is looking to add a World Championship this year.

Eldridge started off his 2021 season getting checks at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and the Ram National Circuit Finals. He was a 4.1 in Round 1 of SASSR to be third and a 3.4 in Round 3 to win it. He took home $4,606 from that rodeo. In Kissimmee, at the RNCFR, Eldridge ran a 4.0 to place second in the first go and earn $3,330.

ELDRIDGE IS A 4.1 AT THE SAN ANTONIO STOCK SHOW AND RODEO

Eldridge would go on to have a good spring run. He broke out to still get a third-place check at the San Angelo Cinch Chute-Out but stopped the clock at 4.1 in Redding a couple weeks later to win the second go. He also won the Woodward Elks Rodeo in Woodward, Oklahoma adding $3,286 to his earnings.

ELDRIDGE GOES 4.0 IN ROUND 1 AT THE CALGARY STAMPEDE

At the legendary Calgary Stampede, Eldridge gave an impressive performance. A 4.0 to win Round 1 of his pool and a 4.4 in Round 2 to win that, Eldridge was on a roll. He took home $15,000 from Canada.

The first week of August was good to the Nevada cowboy. He won $7,285 between three rodeos that week. Throughout the rest of the month, he went on the be a 3.7 in the first round of the Colorado State Fair and Rodeo and a 4.0 in the second round.

ELDRIDGE COMPETES AT THE PRO RODEO TOUR FINALE IN SALINAS, CALIFORNIA

September brought in $14,963 for Eldridge. He won the final round of Ellensburg Rodeo (Washington) and the final round of the Tri-State Rodeo (Iowa) and had good luck at the Tour Finale in at California Rodeo Salinas (California).

Eldridge heads to Las Vegas just $35,472 behind No. 1 Jacob Talley ($117,256) but a World Championship is within Eldridge’s reach.
