Damian Brennan battled his way back in Fort Worth through the Wildcard Round and on Championship Saturday, he claimed the first title of the Texas Swing aboard one of the greats, All or Nothin of Andrews Rodeo.
“I just tried to keep it simple and get a good spur out and just go fast, fast, fast,” Brennan said. “It’s been a long time, working to get to this point and to be here riding against the guys I am riding against and get the win, it means the world.”
Brennan’s 91.5-point ride was one point better than that of reigning World Champion Zeke Thurston. It was the 24-year-old’s first career Texas Swing victory.
This win has Brennan as the No. 1 ranked saddle bronc rider in the PRCA Standings as he heads into the next leg of the Texas Swing in San Antonio.
