After setting a new arena record earlier in the week with a blazing fast 1.6-second run, Danielle Lowman shut the clock off with a 1.8 in the Finals to earn herself the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo title.
“I’m tipping my hat to my dad and my grandma up there and I’m so thankful that they pushed me to be who I am. I’m so excited and I’m so grateful that I’m here,” Lowman said.
It came down to one tenth of a second for Lowman to earn this championship over Rickie Fanning. She was sitting No. 18 in the World coming into Fort Worth and now Lowman will likely climb to No. 1 in the WPRA World Standings.
She made four runs of 3.0 seconds or faster including three faster that were 1.8 or faster. Rickie Fanning took second in the Finals with a 1.9.
