Dusky Lynn Hall Shines in Las Vegas to Cinch a Chance at the American Rodeo Title

Barrel racing phenom Dusky Lynn Hall wins the American West Region Qualifier.

Dusky Lynn Hall has already been clocking wicked fast runs and winning against rodeos best barrel racers making it no surprise when she won the American Rodeo West Region Qualifier.

“I ran three times and Wally is just such an amazing horse... He won me a truck in Vegas at the Vegas Toughest in 2023, he ran in the WCRA, he won me the American and he went in there and at the back he was like ‘mom, I don’t like loud noises, do I have to go in there’ so he didn’t like that very much but the Go-Rounds, he just worked his little tail off and just worked so good for me and always is performing his best and trying his best for me,” Hall said.

Although Hall is only 11-years-old, she says even though she gets nervous, her muscle memory takes over and all is calm. The Arizona cowgirl clocked the only sub-15-second run in the Semifinals to cinch her slot at Globe Life Field.

“I can tell if its a jackpot or an American. An American is much more loud and it is such a different experience from a jackpot. I love that rodeo and I am so excited to go there every time. I get nervous in the back and then when I come out, I’m always happy and I get excited about it,” she said.

The American Rodeo is set for April and Hall will be chasing her dream with Wally.

The bar was set for those in Bracket 1 and their second chance is here.
