Dustin Egusquiza is rolling into his seventh NFR already on the brink of outpacing the best season of his career. In 2021, he finished No. 3 in the World with $227,403, but now he heads to Las Vegas with $201,008 and the No. 1 ranking in tow.

Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo, $6,773

Over the last two years, no pair has shown the ability to go fast consistently quite like Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord. They quickly lived up to the reputation they set for themselves in the 2024 season by winning the first Playoff Rodeo thanks to two straight times of 3.9 seconds. Thier total of 7.8 seconds on two was more than a second faster than the three-way tie for second.

National Western Stock Show and Rodeo, $7,489

Egusquiza and Lord made it 2-for-2 in Playoff Rodeos in the new season by making a 4 flat run in the Finals to win by a half-second. It’s no surprise they would go on to win more Playoff Series events than any other team in 2024.

Rodeo Austin, $19,267

It feels like no regular season that ends in a No. 1 ranking is complete without a Texas Swing triumph and Egusquiza’s came in the State Capital. He and Lord won Round 1 and the Finals, once again with a pair of 3.9s, and ultimately finished first in the Average with 12.5 seconds on three.

Guymon Pioneer Days, $4,360

Egusquiza and Lord didn’t flinch at Guymon’s longer score and fresh steers, showing they can dominate under any conditions.

Despite placing no better than fourth in any of the three rounds, they won the Average with an aggregate time of 22.6 seconds on three. The next closest pair came in at 24.4.

Greeley Stampede, $10,330

Greeley Stampede gave Egusquiza and Lord a spark near the beginning of 100 Rodeos in 100 Days. Egusquiza had just taken over the No. 1 ranking two weeks prior and was determined not to lose as he and his partner were 15.6 seconds on three to win the rodeo. Their fastest run was a 4.4 in Round 2.

Ellensburg Rodeo, $6,160

Egusquiza/Lord had solid showings throughout July and August including Go-Round wins at the Sheridan WYO Rodeo, Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo, and Caldwell Night Rodeo, but they really turned the heat back up over Labor Day.

They won Round 1 and the Finals in Ellensburg and were able to shake off a 17th place finish in Round 2 to still take second in the Average.

Pendleton Round-Up, $12,223

Pendleton offers one of the most unique starts in rodeo and once again, Egusquiza and Lord proved any setup is alright with them.

They placed eighth in each of the first two rounds before winning the Finals with a 6.1-second run. They jumped over several teams to claim the Average as well at 17.9 seconds on three.

Governor’s Cup, $13,236

Egusquiza and Lord asserted themselves as the top pair in the World one final time to close the regular season, putting together three straight runs of 4.5 seconds or faster in Sioux Falls, where the setup is very similar to the Thomas & Mack.
